Dreadful Death of Yazid

* Dreadful Death of Yazid *

There is an indirect narration of Sayyiduna Hassan Basri (May Allah's blessings be upon him) that: Love of the world is the root of all evils. (Jami-us-Saghir lil-Suyuti, P223, Hadis 3662, Dar-ul-Kutub-ul-Ilmiyy
ah Beirut)

Yazids heart was full of love of this world! Therefore, he was greedy for popularity, authority and power. Forgetting the consequences, he stained his hands with the brutal murder of Imam Hussain and his blessed companion’s; the brutal massacre he had committed in Karbala for power and authority eventually proved to be a disaster for him. His cruel reign lasted for only 3 years and 6 months, and he died at the age of 39 in Rabi ul Awal 64 in Syria in a place called Huwwarin which is located in the city of Hams. (Al-Kamil, fit-Tarikh, V3, P464, Dar-ul-Kutub-ul-Ilmiyyah Beirut)

There are different opinions about the cause of Yazids death. It is commonly said that he fell in love with a Roman girl who actually hated him. One day, she tricked Yazid to go with her to a deserted area on the pretext of having romance. The cool breeze of the place made Yazid lustful but the Roman girl said that a shameless person who is disloyal and unfaithful to his Prophet’s grandson can never be faithful to me. After saying so she repeatedly stabbed Yazid with a dagger and left him there. For a few days, vultures and crows feasted on his corpse. Finally, after an extensive search his people found him. They dug a ditch and dumped his rotten remains. (Auraq-e-Gham, P550)

    3. Salam 3laikum,
Why would you hold onto anything that has Yazeeds name on it, when he is doomed forever. Would you hold onto treasures of Firoun & Nimrud if you stumble on it by chance.

Any thing connected to Yazeed is destruction, nothing to be happy about. Burn it before it brings destruction.

Had you mentioned possessing any object of Emam Ali, Emam Husein R.A / Ehlel Bayt. You would be considered as Blessed.

It's a shame you are holding onto a piece of wealth that Glorifies the name of the Lanati Yazeed !

    1. Why are you so excited to see the coin when the one whose name is engraved will burn in Jahannam forever.

I would not doubt if in those days of Tyrant Yazeed had you been around, you would be equally excited to witness Emam Husein R.A's slain head that was being paraded.

Would you have been equally excited to see the coin with Yazeeds name, had it been.......

Shame on Muslims who get excited on everything.

  7. May Allah's wrath befall on Yazeed & His followers within Islam. Who give significance to worldly attractions & celebrate during the Day of Ahura & refuse to accept the significance & martyrdom of Ehlel Bayt.

  8. I am writing if the Yazid died due to the thirst then this proposition then it was due to the person having throat cancer which was not discovered during that period. Otherwise he had no difficulty to drink water. The person with throat cancer always want to drink water but when water passing thru the throat he feels great pain to avoid the pain he had to throw the water. Don't you think that it is the FITTING justice of God?
